Last Day to Enter

Time's almost up! Today, April 17, is the final day to submit your poem for Dictionary.com’s First & Final Word Poetry & Lyrics Challenge.

Challenge yourself to write a short couplet, haiku, or unrhymed free verse where the first and last word are the same. What happens in between is entirely up to you.

There are only two rules:

  1. Your original poem must be between 2 to 5 lines long—all forms of poetry are welcome!
  2. It must start and end with the same word.
The first place winner will receive a $150 gift card and Dictionary.com swag!
